YOUR STORYÂ
THE FREEDOM YOU WERE BUILDING THIS FOR.
I didn't leave corporate to create another job.
I left because I wanted time freedom.
I wanted to call my own shots. I wanted the revenue to be mine. I wanted to be there for my kids.
Instead, I found myself wearing the same handcuffs—just with a different employer: me.
Our sons were in after-school daycare until 5:00 because I was working.
I'd travel and miss their sports games.
I'd sit on the sidelines with my laptop open, working on a project with an unrealistic deadline while their game was happening in front of me.
We'd all sit down to watch a movie—and I'd be sitting there working.
Then I'd work again after they went to bed.
And the guilt was brutal.
Not because I didn't love my business.
Because I had built the business for freedom, and I wasn't free.
I felt like I'd failed at the very thing I had left corporate to create.
And then there were the sales calls.
In corporate, I had sold million-dollar deals.
I understood sales.
I understood trust. Authority. A sales pipeline. Building enough value and certainty that the buyer was ready to make a decision.
Yet when I entered the online business world, I was told I needed to get on calls to sell a $5K program.
So I did.
And I quickly thought:
This is ridiculous.
I was chained to my desk again.
People didn't show up.
Tire-kickers wanted to “pick my brain.”
My calendar was controlled by strangers.
And I realized I had recreated the exact thing I had left corporate to escape.
That wasn't the business I wanted.
I didn't want to become better at taking more sales calls.
I wanted to make the sales system better at selling.
Just like in corporate, I knew the sale shouldn't begin when someone gets on a call.
Trust and authority should be built before the sales conversation ever happens.
So I stopped accepting the idea that sales calls and live launches were simply the price of building a successful online business.
I quit the calls.
I quit the launches.
And I went to work figuring out what I now call Leveraged Selling—and the 5 Freedom Multipliers behind it.
Because I didn't want to spend my life becoming more efficient at being a workhorse.
I wanted to build a business that could make money without requiring me to be everywhere it was happening.
And I did.
I could be at my kids' games and actually watch the game.
I could go on their field trips.
I could take a Friday off to work the snack bar or help with football activities.
I could spend a Tuesday at the beach.
Not because I stopped caring about the business.
Because I finally built the business to give me the freedom I had created it for.
And that is the real reason these Multipliers matter.
Because if your business requires you to constantly be the one making everything happen, you haven't built freedom yet.
You've just built yourself a better-paying job.
And that was never the point.
